Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
Mosey Moving Planner is designed to keep your move details private and local to your device wherever possible. This policy explains what the app stores, what may be sent to Mosey's backend, and how that information is used.
Short version: Mosey does not sell your data, does not use third-party advertising, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Information Stored On Your Device
Mosey stores your move plan on your device, including move dates, route details, tasks, boxes, costs, sales, documents, and photos you choose to add. This data is used to run the app experience and is not uploaded as a cloud profile by Mosey in this release.
Optional Account Information
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Mosey may store the Apple-provided user identifier and, if Apple provides it, your name or email address. This identity is used locally for account display and privacy controls. You can also continue as a guest.
Optional Summary Generation
Mosey may use a lightweight backend to generate concise home-screen summary copy. When this feature is used, the app sends only structured move-summary facts such as first name, origin and destination city/state, move dates, route type, drive context, task counts, box counts, and budget progress.
Mosey does not send your private documents, photos, exact street-address text, or full box contents for this summary feature. The backend may use OpenAI as a service provider to generate the summary. Requests are configured not to be stored by OpenAI for model training through Mosey's backend request settings.
Technical Data
Mosey's backend may process standard technical information such as IP address, request time, and request metadata for security, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
How Information Is Used
- To provide move planning features inside Mosey.
- To display local identity and privacy controls.
- To generate optional summary copy from supplied move facts.
- To secure and operate the backend service.
Sharing
Mosey does not sell personal information. Mosey does not share data with advertising networks. Mosey may process limited information through service providers used to operate the app, such as hosting and optional summary generation.
Your Choices
- You can use Mosey as a guest.
- You can sign out or delete your local profile in the app.
- You can reset local data from the app's privacy controls.
- You can avoid optional summary generation by using Mosey offline or when the backend is unavailable; core planning features remain local.
